A uniquely beautiful antique ruby and diamond ring, the ring has a crown of bezel set rubies in a garland over a rose cut diamond and ruby setting.
Measurements and markings:
The stone setting measures 11mm; hosting a large faceted round ruby with an estimated diameter of 4.8mm surrounded by 9 rose cut diamonds 2.7mm in size : 0.07 carats each. The garland crown features three bezel set rubies 2.7mm, 3mm.
The feature ruby is a bright pink, while the three smaller rubies dark pink-purple. The ring has no hallmarks so cannot be dated with accuracy, however it's style, design, setting and old cut diamond indicate Victorian. It tests above 14kt gold and below 18kt: so 15kt gold. The ring is a size: N and weighs: 4.1g.
