Antique Georgian rose cut diamond ring set in silver on an 18kt gold band, a very unusual piece with seven rose cut diamonds set in a floral shape in an open design with a central rose cut diamond. Georgian rings are becoming more and more rare and hard to find, this is a unique opportunity to own a foil backed rose cut diamond Georgian ring.
Measurements and markings:
The setting of the ring is 15mm in diameter, the band 3mm x 1.5mm. The diamonds range in size from 3.5-4mm and the central diamond being 6mm, the rub over setting obscures part of the diamond. Georgian pieces had closed back settings such as this one does, in order to lend some lightness the piece it was likely designed with the open work. The diamonds are grey and show inclusions, these would have sparkled in a very different way in candlelight. The ring weighs 5.31 grams. It is a size 7/N; rings can be re-sized.
Condition:
The ring is in good condition, it is possible that the shank was replaced but there isn't evidence of this.

Each ring is shipped in black velvet ring boxes, tied with ribbon. Included is a short jewellery document t with the piece that details all the markings and gemstone information.
