An iridescent opal with a beautiful shimmer of green and blues is the feature of this rose gold brooch. The opal's beauty doesn't translate to the photographs. This is a lovely antique brooch, ideal for a gift.
Measurements and markings:
The brooch is 42mm in length, and the widest part of the opal cabochon it is 6mm, the bar itself approximately 2mm. The opal is set in a closed setting with a frilled decorative edge. The brooch weighs 1.95 grams. The opal displays iridescence predominately blues and greens, there are a couple of dark inclusions visible.
Condition.
The brooch is in very good condition.
