An antique five stone Amethyst band, a late Georgian Ring

Antique five stone amethyst ring. A late Georgian ring 1800's : a row of five amethysts set in 9kt gold with open work on shoulders. Rings from this period were closed at the back, it was later in the Victorian period that they set them open.

Marks and Measurements:
Ring size 7 to 7.25. Weight is 2.2 grams. The Amethysts are deep purple ranging from 4mm to 3mm.The ring tests as 9kt gold.

Condition:
The ring settings are secure, the stones show abrasion and wear in keeping with the age.
