Antique gypsy ring set with three old cut diamonds. Each gemstone is set in an engraved star. The ring is a circular domed ring in 18kt gold. The piece is particularly well designed and features scroll and patterned shoulders. It is rare to come across authentic antique gypsy rings.
Measurements and marks:
At the widest part at the front it measures 8mm and at the back 3mm. The ring is a size 6.75, N. Rings are re-sizeable. The diamonds are 2.5-3mm and 1.5-2mm x 2. A carat weight of .11cts. There are hallmarks for Chester, 18kt gold, a sponsor mark of JH, the date letter has been rubbed away but the marks are consistent with victorian pieces. The weight is 3.05 grams.
Condition:
The ring is in good condition, it is not a perfect circle and there is evidence it was re-sized.
