Antique diamond ring set with old cut diamonds in silver on a gold band, Georgian diamond ring.

An antique diamond ring, a cluster of old rose cut diamonds set in a closed back silver setting typical of Georgian Jewellery It has some patterning at the back which is also typical of Georgian Jewellery and the silver around the setting of the stones is rough. The floral cluster of diamonds set on a yellow gold band which is possibly more recent.

Measurements and markings:
The ring weighs 3.40 grams and is set with four approximately 3mm (.10cts) tinted rough diamonds and between each of the four smaller 1.5mm-2mm ( 0.02cts) diamonds with one in the centre 2.5mm ( 0.05cts) A total carat weight of .53 cts. The diamonds are rose cut, grey-champagne, fairly included; typical of diamonds from this period. The ring measures size J/US 5 on the ring stick however probably wears slightly bigger due to how the band sits on the setting.There are no stamps or marks however the band tests between 10kt gold and 14kt gold.

Condition:
The ring is in good condition.As previously noted it is possible the shank was replaced at a later date.
