Antique garnet and diamond flower ring in a closed back setting with a dark red garnet surrounded by old cut diamonds and rose cut diamonds.

Measurements and marks:
The faceted deep red oval garnet is surrounded by an open design of diamond set flowers; three old cut diamonds and three rose cut diamonds. The setting is 15mm x 16mm, the garnet 9mm x 7mm. The little old cut diamonds 2mm. The stones are close backed typical of Georgian rings. The band is flat on the inside, domed on the outside. The piece tests 12-14kt gold. The shank is most likely a later replacement. The diamonds are grey with inclusions. Ring size 5.75, L rings can be re-sized.The weight of the ring is 3.35 grams.

Condition:
The piece is in good condition, it shows evidence of its age.
